I’m struggling in the home stretch phase of weight loss . I asked my doctor for her advice and we talked about my options . After all sorts of tests to check all of my levels and vitals are we came to the conclusion that I’m super healthy except my weight is still not where I’d like it to be so I still have bouts of sleep apnea and can’t be free of my cpap machine completely so we decided I would try contrave. I took one a day for 2 weeks . I had been advised to start taking 2 a day after the first week but I just couldn’t get the timing down because of my intermittent fasting schedule and keto diet . You are supposed to take the contrave with a low fat meal but almost nothing I eat falls into the low fat category . I didn’t have any side effects while taking one a day but I also didn’t notice it making me have less cravings or anything either . I just felt the same . Then I finally took 2 for the first time and I had some low carb Chinese food . Which was some grilled chicken and beef and broccoli. Apparently that meal wasn’t low enough in fat because I became deathly ill. I was throwing up all night and barely could move the next couple of days . Needless to say I’ve been too scared to try the contrave again . I ended up getting Covid the next week despite being triple vaxed. So I was pretty much sick all the last two weeks of October . That’s why I hadn’t updated this blog . I’m back now . I may try the contrave again . I will let you guys know my results . The good news is that I also haven’t had any alcohol in the last couple months and I’ve been taking my thyroid medication and I’ve lost 30 lbs from those changes alone .
