I tried this - Legendary toaster pastry

Hey friends ,

Once in a while I thought I would do a product review section of my blog called  “I tried this” and today’s product review is of the legendary brown sugar and cinnamon toaster pastry . I got this particular flavor because my mom always loved the pop tart version . Frosted brown sugar pop tarts toasted with real salted butter on the non-frosted side were the only kind of pop tarts considered edible in my house growing up. And pop tarts definitely are delicious . So I tried to toast my legendary toaster pastry and unfortunately the frosting melted (and hopefully isn’t going to damage my toaster but I guess that remains to be seen.) So the frosting was pretty much gone before I could try it . I still proceeded to butter the non frosted side like I would with a pop tart and right away the main difference is that these are thick. They’re more like a toaster strudels than a pop tart only not as tasty as either . I will say the filling was really good . The filling has a great brown sugar and cinnamon taste . I would only rate the taste of the pastry at a 5 out of 10 and I would recommend you don’t use a traditional upright toaster to make these if you’re planning on trying them . Over all this product is not too bad but given the choice  I prefer making my own low carb toast with cinnamon and swerve brown sugar or make the cinnaminis from my blog post last month. These legendary pastries fo get points for price and convenience and would good if you need something to grab and take to work.I paid $3.99 for this one but I’ve seen them as low as $2.49 online . I haven’t tried the other flavors either so if you guys try them , let me know . Have a wonderful week . 🤗❤️
